Jawahar House Function

Radiating happiness mirth and joy like the fragrance of flowers, the students of Jawahar House  celebrated the House Function 'Réjouissance – World of Happiness’ on 5th May 2018. Major General Pramod Kumar Saigal (Retd.), Indian Army, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. A homage was paid to the first Prime Minister of our free nation, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru by garlanding his portrait. The notes of the School Anthem unleashed a deep sense of humility and pride among the Jindalities. Welcoming the Chief Guest, all the distinguished guests and the gathering of proud parents, the Principal, Dr. D. K. Pandey lauded the efforts of the students and tutors of Jawahar House for taking up the theme 'Réjouissance – World of Happiness’. He asserted that in the cut-throat competitive world, where happiness and ethical values are taking a back-seat, it is very critical that we maintain Happiness Quotient in our lives. He further added that we must learn to find beauty in the forgotten path and enjoy the little things happening around us. 

The Chief Guest, in his message, appreciated the enthusiastic fervour and confidence exhibited by the students of the school. He felt that if the youth of our country is nurtured with love, right guidance and compassion, then they will certainly become the global players to reckon with. He further emphasized that the schools and the parents must join hands and induce confidence in the children to enable them to conquer the world. The Jawahar House Vice Captain, Naman Chopra (XII) apprised the august gathering with the remarkable achievements made by the students of the House in various intra and inter school activities.

The cultural extravaganza 'Réjouissance – World of Happiness’ showcased the kaleidoscopic presentation of different ways to enjoy our life and our surroundings. The programme reverberated the thought ,”Happiness resides not in possessions, and not in gold. The feeling of happiness dwells in the soul.”  The vivacious presentation of the effervescent tiny tots connected everyone with nature and brought smile on everyone’s face. The Primary School children gave a glimpse into the wonder world of small children by taking everyone into the fantasy paradise.Happiness is not only about enjoyment, it’s about kindness, helpfulness, sacrifice, giving, service – the message of “Joy of Giving’ was vividly conveyed by the theatrical presentation of The Happy Prince. The rhythms of music and dance amalgamated with the message of true value and significance of family, celebration of festivals and the vision of Global Happiness, created a happy and harmonious atmosphere. The spectacular presentation of live music and cultural programme concluded on the positive note that happiness can be discovered in the smallest of the things.
